Supplier Deveopment Engineer

As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT Goulds Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.   PURPOSE OF POSITION:          Develop standard practices and processes, goals, and measures for ITT/IP Suppliers in support of coordinated Global Supply Chain strategies.          Establish effective process control tools and measures at Supplier facilities to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost requirements are achieved.          Coordinate with Supplier and IP Engineering disciplines to seek and implement cost reduction and design enhancement opportunities as appropriate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:          Learn ITT/IP requirements and develop the supplier to meet these requirements.          Reduce waste through lean practices with supplier to reduce scrap and process cycle times          Ensure process development to improve supplier quality and on time delivery.          Develop standard practices and processes, goals, and measures for ITT/IP Suppliers in support of coordinated Global Supply Chain strategies.          Establish effective process control tools and measures at Supplier facilities to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost requirements are achieved.          Coordinate with Supplier and IP Engineering disciplines to seek and implement cost reduction and design enhancement opportunities as appropriate.          Supplier Performance Metrics - Capacity Analysis, quality, on-time delivery and cost          Supplier manufacturing process improvement; Identify process improvement and root cause analysis          Develop supplier base to provide ITT/IP with competitive advantages in quality, on time delivery and cost          Development and execution of APQP as required          Utilize Quality tools such as capability studies, gauge R&R, Fish bone, 5 whys, data collection & Pareto analysis, and root cause analysis to assess supplier capability, and improve supplier performance.          Participate on sourcing teams, taking ownership for supplier quality audits, quality planning, sample and production part qualification.          Analyze and improve entire manufacturing process from material receipt through final packing and shipment          Conduct Supplier Quality and Process Capability audits and drive gap closure.          Implement short term and long term corrective action in supplier process for problems identified in inspection or customer site          Develop standard practices, goals, and measures for ITT/IP Suppliers in support of coordinated Global Supply Chain strategies          Positions located both domestically and internationally; Domestic travel to ITT sites and suppliers is required - up to 50% Skills and Experience Education:          Minimum of BS Degree in Engineering OR 2 Year Degree and 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment. Experience:          Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably experienced in machining and/or fabrication.          Experience with AQPQ preferred.          Experience with PPAP preferred.          Experience with Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis preferred.            Capable of performing supplier quality, technical assessments, capacity studies, and capability audits.          Capable of performing manufacturing process control assessments using structured review methodology.          Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and diagrams, and possess considerable mechanical ability.          Knowledge of various measurement methods and inspection equipment utilized in a manufacturing environment.          Self-starter and ability to recognize areas of improvement without specific direction.          Excellent organizational and project management skills.          Strong analytical skills and ability to map out processes and analyze data, & information for improvement          Attention to detail and follow through and driver of improvement          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 8374BR

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
